Dear Friend,

How did I decide to run? In early August 2007 I was contacted by a number of property owners here in Yavapai county as well as employees at the assessor's office all of them were urging me to seek the office of Yavapai County Assessor. These individuals not only convinced me that Yavapai county needs a new assessor but also that with my combined education and experience that I would be the most qualified candidate for Yavapai county assessor. After a number of meetings, prayerful consideration and family discussions I finally decided to throw my hat into the ring.

Being actively involved in civic issues since the early eighties, my family and I now feel that I am ready to bring my honesty, integrity and abilities to this office.

As you may know, property values have skyrocketed from 2003 through 2006 with the market now stabilizing and in some areas even declining. More than ever we need an Assessor that understands how to accurately value properties in a difficult market. I am a General Certified Appraiser (Certified by the Arizona Board of Appraisals). This means I am qualified to value everything from vacant land to complex comercial properties. I am the only candidate for Yavapai County Assessor with these qualifications.

Another critical issue is that of the tax burden on the residents of Arizona. We are taxing our best natural resources right out of this county…our homeowners. Young families must be able to do more than survive financially; they must be allowed to prosper. Senior citizens should not fear losing their homes because they can not afford escalating property taxes.

I believe State tax laws should restrict the governments ability to raise levy’s without citizen authorization.

As you can see, I am excited at the possibility of serving the people of this great state.

To be successful in this endeavor it will take a very strong and dedicated grass roots organization. I believe the voters of this county will step forward with my family in a united volunteer effort. As you may have guessed my children are already hard at work designing flyers, building winning strategies of their own, and decorating the campaign headquarters. All four have volunteered to help knock on doors, place yard signs and of course, participate in any upcoming parades.

With thousands of brochures to purchase, hundreds of yard signs to order, scores of radio ads to place, and a whole county to cover, I will need help. I am turning to you, and humbly inviting you to get involved in my campaign and help make a difference.

Your early contribution, made payable to "Pam Pearsall's Assessment Rescue Team" will give our race a tremendous boost right out of the starting block.

Your gift of $25, $50, $100, $250, $350 or $390 will help me raise the vital "early seed money" I need to successfully launch this campaign.

Click on the support button and help me in my journey to bring honesty, integrity and knowledge to the Assessor's office.

Thanks in advance for your encouragement, generous support, and prayers. Bob and I are both grateful for your friendship!

Yours in Service,

Pamela J. Pearsall
